Who is responsible
The controller of the personal data described here is Jan Komínek, IČO 19814585, Oblouková 1352/43, 252 19 Rudná, Czech Republic. You can reach me at [email protected] about anything in this policy.
In short
- This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking services.
- Visitor statistics are anonymous and run on my own server.
- If you write to me, your message is used only to reply and is deleted after 12 months.
Website statistics
I run Umami, an open-source analytics tool, on my own server. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records which pages are viewed, the referring website, browser, operating system, device type and country, plus a few actions such as opening the booking calendar or downloading my CV. Your IP address is used only at the moment of the visit to derive the country and an anonymous visitor identifier, and is not stored. Query strings and URL fragments are not recorded.
Legal basis: my legitimate interest in knowing which content is useful (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is needed. Statistics are kept for 13 months and then deleted. You can exclude this browser with the switch below.
Contact form
When you send the contact form, I receive your name, email address, message, budget and, if you fill them in, your company and project details. I use them to answer your inquiry and to prepare a possible collaboration.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in replying to messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The message is stored on my server. I get a short notification in Discord that contains only your company name or email domain, never the content of your message. Submissions are deleted automatically after 12 months, unless they become part of a contract.
Email and LinkedIn
If you email me or message me on LinkedIn, I process what you send in order to reply, and keep it for as long as our communication requires.
Booking a call
The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by Cal.com, Inc. (USA). It loads only when you scroll to it. Cal.com then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. If you book a call, Cal.com processes the name, email and notes you enter as an independent controller under its privacy policy. Your data may be transferred to the USA.
Hosting and security
The website runs on a rented virtual server and is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which protects it against attacks. To keep the site secure and working, technical logs (IP address, time, requested address, browser) are kept for a short time, at most 30 days. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts and all other files are served from my own server. The site does not load Google Fonts or social media plugins.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to me at [email protected].
You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
